Indy Puts Summer into March
I’m not really sure about the Indy love barometer in the Vinton crew, but I do remember back in the 80s when Mom and Dad went to see Raiders of the Lost Ark. Oh, they played it off like it was a necessary evil, but as I recall, they enjoyed it more than they led on. But really, who doesn’t like a good ol’ fashioned romp with Indiana Jones and his face melting, heart removing, Nazi fighting good times? Only the Nazis.
If your upcoming movie radar has been set to “Low”, you may not know Indiana Jones has a new movie coming out on May 22: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Gone are the days of throwing nazis under trucks and into propeller blades- Indy’s older and that means it’s the 1950′s… which means Indy’s fightin’ those dirty red commies with his kid (that’s right- procreation has consequences!) and a bottle of Centrum Silver.
Still, it’s Indy– and by gum, this trailer (and that music) made me all kinds nostalgic and anticipatory for a few hours of escapism come May. Hope it does the same for you.
