La Jolla, Coronado, Bedtime
Day Two of “Escape from Winter Depression” has come and gone. We hit up La Jolla and its stinky harbor seal colony, waded through low tide searching for anemones, ate PB&J out of the car, found out National Monuments take only cash or check, wondered if people thought we were polygamists, bathed in a gorgeous Coronodo sunset, reaffirmed we’re calling the wrong climate “home” and wrapped it all up at the official eatery of “Escape From Winter Depression”: Rubio’s. Then everyone fell asleep.
Through it all the cousins played, the cars burned gas, and we stuffed our camera’s flash cards ’till they begged us to stop:
- Fishtacosfishtacosfishtacos!!!
- Lights Out.

I dare say I saw a tilted picture or two. I knew I’d get you to come around.
All of those pics need to be framed and put on the mantle. SO CUTE!
Also I agree with “calling the wrong climate home”. We spent the week in St. George, swimming outside, sunshine, fresh air….to come home to snow and fog. BLAH….
I think Hawaii sounds good.
