Pants Without the Peg
So Lady-Friend has off and created her own blog. Out of spite and because I enjoy reading them, I’m reposting her rants, raves and admissions here at Vintonville.com– duplicate content be damned!
Lady-Friend here. I can’t believe it! I took the plunge today and bought my first pair of skinny jeans…YIKES!!! I have to admit that for the longest time (and even now) they remind a little of when I used to “roll and pin” my jeans back in the day. Who knew they would be the “HOT” new style.
Okay, fine. I know they’ve been the hot new jean for a while now, but I’m a behind-the- times-kinda gal. For instance: when capris came out I told myself I wouldn’t be caught dead in those silly little 1/2 pants and now I have over six pairs. Or when long shorts came back in style, there was no way you find them in my closet…7 pairs later. I am the type of person that has to “warm” up to styles and then–maybe– I might adapt them into my clothes line up.
Now the problem is what on earth and how on earth do I wear them? I was thinking they would look super sexy with these hot boots but the man friend [ed. That's me! The killjoy!] just put the kibosh on them. He not only put the kibosh, but he also said they were atrocious…brutal! What do you think? Are they as ugly as he says?

You are going to look so smokin’ hot in those skinny jeans! I still can’t believe these are your first pair.
Oh and sorry to say, but I LOVE those boots. They are pretty much “way in” right now and I think you should get them. Skinny jeans look pretty great with just about any shoe. Tall boots, flats, pumps, sneakers, you name it. I need to get off the internet now before I order myself a new pair of skinny jeans and all of the above listed styles of shoes…
Honestly…….I don’t love the boots (gonna go with Dan on this one)
but I am just a walking fashion fopa (sp?) so my opinion doesn’t count much.
But if anyone can pull it off….you can.

Shoes they don’t look good with, clogs. Not crocs, don’t worry I haven’t stooped that low. Wade hated the boots too. But he hates everything.
Me and skinny jeans I’m not so sure of, my thighs are normal but my calves are so tiny they make my thighs look disproportionately large. You, I’m sure look fabulous.
Well thanks ladies! I wore them for the first time yesterday with my black hoochie sling backs WOO WOO.
Its true I started my own blog. I just wanted to write and not worry about if it was as funny, professional, and fabulous as my man friends writing. I wanted to be honest about “ME” and not think I was revealing too much
. I was doing it just for me and wasn’t planning on having anyone else read it….Dan doesn’t love the idea and so up pop 2 of my posts from my blog.
