***UPDATED UPDATE: Apparently, there’s a conservative frenzy going on around this skit. I thought it was pretty even-handed, but apparently it’s become a Republican Talking Point rallying cry. Ugh. Still, it’s funny and there’s folks out there who are finding ways to put it up anyway. **UPDATE: I’m no conspiracy theorist, but apparently there was a lot of brouhaha over this video– so much that NBC/SNL removed it from their site and all other video sites as well. It was a funny skit that showed both parties and home owners as culpable for the financial mess. Funny how Palin/McCain get shredded and the videos remain, but Frank, Pelosi and some other folks get creamed and the video suddenly goes missing. Like I said, I’m no media conspiracist, but unfair representation on both sides boils my tender beans. Bah!!!
For the last 29 years, CSPAN’s been maligned as the televised alternative to counting sheep. Which is true. Still, without it, we wouldn’t have access and insight into the ridonculous complex machinations behind the $700 billion bailout, handout, boondoggle, notsurewhatitsforbuttheytellmeitsimportant, rescue.
